Heatwave: Yellow warning issued for these Odisha districts for tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The heatwave condition in the beginning of Summer season is likely to continue in Odisha till tomorrow. Thereafter, people may heave a sigh of relief due to possible drop in mercury under influence of thunderstorm in many parts of the state.

The Regional Meteorological Centre of IMD has issued yellow warning of heatwave for several places for tomorrow.

As per mid-day bulletin released by the MeT office today, the heatwave condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh and Sonepur tomorrow.

The MeT issued thunderstorm warning for a few places in the state from tomorrow till next four days.

According to the release, thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Kalahahdi, Kandhamal and Keonjhar between April 16 and 17.

Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Kandhamal between April 17 and 18.

Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal during April 18 and 19.

Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Kalahahdi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal during April 19 and 20.
