Heavy rainfall forecast over interior, coastal Odisha in next 24 hours

Heatwave continues to singe Odisha as mercury crosses 41 Degree C at 20 places

The Met department has forecast isolated extremely heavy rainfall with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over interior Odisha and heavy rainfall at one or two places over coastal Odisha during the next 24 hours.

Rain or thundershower would occur at most places over Odisha during the next 24 hours, the Met department said this afternoon.

Gusty surface wind speed reaching 35 to 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph may prevail along and off Odisha Coast.

Yesterday’s Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood persists over the same region at 0830 hours IST today, the Met department said.
