Heavy rains likely to lash Odisha during next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rains are likely to lash many districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said.

Extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of  Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore & heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over Deogarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and heavy rainfall at one or two places over rest districts of Odisha, a bulletin of the meteorological centre said.

Strong & gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-55 KMPH gusting up to 65 KMPH likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast, it added.

Sea condition would be rough to very rough for which fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
