Bhubaneswar: Due to prevalent monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over 18 districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow Warning for next three days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre said, “Southwest monsoon has been active in Odisha. The low pressure area over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odishanorth Andhra Pradesh coasts has become less marked. However, the associated cyclonic circulation now lies over south interior Odisha and neighbourhood and extends up to 7.6 Km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.”
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha. The highest maximum (day) temperature of 33.0oC was recorded at Baripada and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.0oC was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
