Bhubaneswar, Aug 2:
Heavy rains would lash interior and coastal Odisha in the next 24 hours under the influence of a Depression, the local Met office said here this afternoon.
“The Depression over Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood, which moved west-southwest and lay centred over Jharkhand about 70 Km east-northeast of Ranchi at 8.30 AM today, would move westwards and gradually weaken into a well-marked low pressure. Under its influence, rain or thundershower would occur at most places over interior and coastal Odisha in the next 24 hours,” a Met release said.
Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into sea as gusty surface wind with speed reaching 45-55 kmph may prevail along and off Odisha coast making the sea condition would be rough.
