Here’re details of new COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Of 186 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Odisha, 16 have been detected from the State capital – Bhubaneswar today.

Among the new cases, 14 cases have been reported from home quarantine and remaining 2 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Here’re details of new COVID cases reported in last 24 hours in Bhubaneswar:
  • Of the new cases reported from home quarantine, 3 are from one family related to previous case from Shree Vihar in Patia area under BMC. They are 31-year-old male, 65-year-old male and 58-year-old female.
  • Another 2 cases are from one family in Jayadev Vihar near Biju Patnaik College, Bhubaneswar. They are 71-year-old female and 72-year-old male with travel history to the USA.
  • Two more cases were reported from one family of Shastri Nagar area, Unit-4, in Bhubaneswar. They are 75-year-old male and 40-year-old male with travel history to Kolkata.
  • One case 22-year-old male has been detected from Phase-I, Dumduma area. He had a travel history to Pune.
  • One case of Kalinga Vihar near Sailabala Enclave is a 34-year-old male with travel history to Oman.
  • One case of Satya Nagar near Over bridge is a 33-year-old male with travel history to Delhi.
  • One case of Sabar Sahi, Nayapalli area is a 54-year-old male with travel history to Chennai.
  • One case of Netaji Vihar in Rasulgarh is a 47-year-old male with travel history to Gurgaon.
  • One case of Jadupur near Begunia Masjid is a 31-year-old male with travel history to Delhi.
  • One case of Masjid Colony, Unit-13 area is a 60-year-old female. One of her relatives has returned from Kolkata.

Of two local cases, one has been reported from Kapileswar Vihar in Palasuni. The case is a 25-year-old male with recent travel history to Bhadrak, one of the worst affected district in Odisha.

Another case is a 32-year-old male, a service provider at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

With the fresh cases, the COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surged to 122 with 58 active cases. While 60 have recovered, 3 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.
