Here’s max speed at which vehicles can ply in Odisha

Cuttack: Non-transport motor vehicles used for carriage of persons comprising not more than eight seats in addition to the driver will have a maximum speed of 100 km/h on a four-lane and above divided carriageway henceforth. This was announced by the State Transport Authority today.

In a notification, the transport authority further stated such non-transport motor vehicles will have a maximum speed of 50 km/h on the stretches of NH and SH passing through municipal and NAC areas and 60 km/h for other NH and SH.

Motor vehicles used for carriage of passengers comprising not more than eight seats in addition to the driver (transport) will have a maximum speed of 80km/h on a four-lane and above divided carriageway. Such vehicles will have a maximum speed of 50km/h and 60 km/h on the stretches of NH and SH passing through municipal and NAC areas, and for other NH and SH, respectively.

Motor vehicles used for carriage of persons/passengers comprising nine or more seats in addition to the driver (transport/non-transport) will have a maximum speed of 80 km/h on four-lane and above divided carriageway. Such vehicles will have a max speed of 40 km/h and 60 km/h on the stretches of NH and SH passing through municipal and NAC areas, and for other NH and SH, respectively.
