Heritage corridor project work in Puri, Bhubaneswar to resume
Bhubaneswar: Work related to heritage corridor development around Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri and Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar will resume from May 29, said Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
A decision in this regard was taken at a video conferencing meeting of the CM with the Chief Secretary and other concerned officials.
“We have had more than 2-month break due to COVID virus… where all work was stopped. Now we must try to begin the work both in Puri and Bhubaneswar a day after tomorrow,” said Patnaik.
He also asked to follow social distancing guidelines during the work.

As per official sources, land acquisition will be completed in 3 months for Sri Setu, Jagannath Ballav Tourist Centre, Mahodadhi Market and Musa River project while draft designs have been prepared for Sri Jagannath Heritage Corridor, Bada Danda Development, Admin Building and Jagannath Cultural Centre in Puri.
Similarly, land acquisition work will be completed for Ekamra Kshetra Yojana in Bhubaneswar soon. Design plan for the development of the area between Lingaraj Temple and Bindu Sagar is underway and the work will resume shortly. An MoU will be signed with Indian Chemical Institute for cleaning Bindu Sagar.
