The story of the upcoming movie is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and James Wan and directed by Michael Chaves. Apparently, it is based on the real-life incidents of a man named Arne Cheyenne Johnson from the early 1980s.

The Devil Made Me Do It was the first known case in the history of the United States where a criminal defense lawyer had sought to prove innocence of an accused based on the claim of demonic possessions. After the words of the lawyer spread in the media, the trial continued to be referred as the ‘devil made me do it’ case. Taking inspiration from that, the makers of the upcoming horror film decided the title of the film.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is scheduled to release in India on June 4, 2021. Actors Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Sterling Jerins and Julian Hilliard will be seen portraying major characters in the film.
