‘Housing for All’ tops agenda at Odisha Cabinet meet today

The Odisha Cabinet will meet here this afternoon.

odisha cabinet meetingThe meeting, to be presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat at 5 AM, is likely to approve 19 proposals.

On top of the agenda for the cabinet meeting is a proposal on the launching of Odisha Housing Mission scheme under which the state government would provide low-cost houses to the people of lower-income group living in urban slum areas.

The chief minister had recently presided over the first meeting of the Mission.

Besides, the Cabinet is likely to approve other proposals including new fisheries policy, restructuring of junior engineer cadre in the Water Resources department, amendment in the Biju Patnaik University of Technology Act and new procurement policy of the MSME department.
