HSC exams begin in Odisha

The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations began in Odisha this morning.

More than six lakh students are appearing in 2799 centres.

The examinations which began at 9 AM, will conclude at 11.40 AM.

As per the schedule, the first session the examinations will be of one hour in which the students will answer questions from the OMR sheet. The duration of the second session will be of 1.30 hours in which the students will be provided with the subjective question papers and allowed 10 minutes to go through the questions after which they will start answering the questions from 10.10 AM.

As announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), the students entered the examination hall at 8.30 AM and received the OMR sheets and started answering the questions at 9 AM.

The first day of the examinations is held for MIL subject.

The Board has made elaborate arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the examination and ensuring the safety of the question papers in view of the problems encountered last year.
