HSC exams conclude in Odisha; evaluation from Mar 17

Evaluation of answer sheets of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations in Odisha, which concluded today, will begin from March 17.

high school exams“The evaluation will be held at 64 centres. Besides, we have opened two units for evaluation of Telegu, Hindi and Persian scripts. The evaluation would conclude on March 27,” Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, Controller of Examinations, Board of Secondary Education (BSE), told the media.

Meanwhile, the students appeared in the Mathematics subject, for which the Board had given them a gap of four days,  on the last day of the examinations.

.“This year, we had allowed 30 minutes of extra time to the students for Mathematics considering that it takes more time for them to work out the problems through calculations. As per the schedule, the students were provided with the OMR sheets 15 minutes before the examination which began at 9 AM. The OMR examinations ended at 10.15 AM while the subject test began at 10.25 AM and ended at 11.55 AM,” said BSE president Prof Dakshya Prasad Nanda.

A total of 5,92,281 students appeared in the examinations which had begun on February 23.
