Illegal gun-making unit busted in Odisha

Cuttack: Police today busted an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit at Sankarpur Matha Sahi under Choudwar police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district and have arrested two persons in this connection.

Police have seized five country-made guns and other weapons during the raid.

The arrested have been identified as Jayant Ojha alias Jay (42) son of Birakishore Ojha and Ajay Behera alias Geda (30) son of Golekh Behera of Belagaccha village under Barang police limits in Cuttack district.

Acting on a tip-off Choudwar police raided Jayant Ojha’s house at Sankarpur Matha Sahi leading to the seizures and arrests.

Police have booked the two under the Arms Act and forwarded them to the local court.
