IMD forecasts rain in Odisha; thunderstorm warning issued for these districts

Bhubaneswar: Amid festive fervour, IMD forecast rainfall in Odisha and issued thunderstorm warning for several districts during next two days.

According to weather bulletin released by Bhubaneswar MeT, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal today.

The IMD forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower for one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Kalahandi during March 9 to 10.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Puri, Ganjam and Kandhamal during March 10 to 11 morning.

The weathermen issued yellow warning for several districts from March 9 till March 11 morning.

According to the weather bulletin, Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Sambalpur during March 9 to 10.

Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Jajpur and Dhenkanal between March 10 and 11 morning.

There will be no large change in maximum temperature. The day temperature is likely to be above normal by 2-3 degree C at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days.
