IMD issues lightning, thunderstorm warning for nine Odisha dists
Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a lightning, thunderstorm, and rainfall warning for nine districts in Odisha.
The districts that have been put on alert are Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Bolangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda and Bargarh.

The alert issued by the IMD will remain in effect from 6 pm to 10 pm.
“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunder storm with lightning and rainfall likely to occur over the districts of Cuttack, Puri, Jagasinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Bolangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda and Bargarh between 6 pm and 10 pm,” a bulletin issued by the IMD’s regional centre here said.
