Bhubaneswar: He was the first graduate and lawyer of Odisha. He was a social reformer and founder of the 1903 Utkal Sammilani. He was known as the Kulabruddha (Grand Old Man) and every year, the state celebrates his birthday on April 28 as the Lawyer’s Day. He is Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Das.
