The Sri Lankan players, who arrived in Bhubaneswar this afternoon, skipped practice today while the Indian team had a two-hour long practice session today. The session involved some physical exercises and a warm up game of football before the bowlers and batsmen took turns at the nets.

According to sources in the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), the Indian team would leave Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar, where both teams are lodged, at 12.15 pm tomorrow for the practice session at Barabati.

However, star batsman Virat Kohli, who will be captaining the side in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s absence, will leave for Cuttack at 10 am, the sources said.

The Sri Lankan team will leave the hotel after lunch at 2.30 pm, they said.

Meanwhile, the three counters opened at the Barabati saw brisk sale of tickets for the second day running with fans waiting patiently for hours to get their tickets.

While 8, 000 tickets had been sold yesterday at the three counters in Barabati managed by Punjab National Bank (PNB), 6, 800 more were sold today. OCA hopes to sell the rest of the 20, 000 tickets open to the public tomorrow.

The counters will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm tomorrow, OCA officials said. If some tickets are still left unsold, the counters would be opened on the morning of the match. Redemption of online tickets would continue at Cambridge School in Cuttack from 10 am t 5 pm tomorrow, they said.

The gates would be opened for the public at 9.30 am on match day, OCA said.

Suresh Raina would be felicitated on his 200th one day international shortly before the match, OCA said.
