Indian Hockey Teams arrive in Odisha for felicitation

Bhubaneswar: Indian Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams that scripted history at the recently-concluded Tokyo Olympics-2020 arrived in the state capital for the felicitation ceremony organised by Odisha Government.

Both the teams arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here to a rousing reception at around 11 am.

As per sources the teams will go round the city and have an interaction with media at 3 pm. They will be felicitated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Lokseva Bhavan at 6.30pm.

The hockey teams have been invited to a felicitation ceremony by the state Government for their brilliant performance at the Olympic Games, said an official.

Worth mentioning, the state Government has been the official sponsor of both the national hockey teams since 2018.
