Nayagarh pulled off a thrilling win over Mayurbhanj by four runs in the Inter District Women’s Cricket here today.cricket 1

Batting first, Nayagarh scored 99 in 35 overs with Sakra Besra as the top scorer with 22. For Mayurbhanj, Suman Mohakud claimed four wickets.

In their chase, Mayurbhanj fell 5 runs short of the target getting all out for 95 in 32.2 overs. Juspin Lakara (4 for 18) and Sweeti Behura (3 for 21) were the pick of the bowlers for Nayagarh.

Bowling (Malkangiri): Laxmi Muduli – 3/9, Malati Majumdal – 3/6, Susma Bala – 2/22.  (Malkangiri won the match by 51 runs).
Nimur Ground: Jagatsinghpur 232 in 34.4 overs. Liza Das–65, Sabita Nayak–33
Bowling (Gajapati) : Anita Karjee–3/34, Hiramati Mandal– 3/49
Gajapati 31 in 9.3 overs.
Bowling (Jagatsinghpur): Debasmita Das– 4/9, Babita Behera– 4/14. (Jagatsinghpur won the match by 201 runs.)
In another match, Kendrapara got walkover as the Sonepur team did not report.
