Inter-state bike lifter nabbed

Baleswar, Sep 2: Soro police on Sunday arrested Susanta Nayak (35) of village Mulisigpatna of Soro block, an inter-state bike lifter and seized nine stolen bikes from his possession here on Sunday. The accused, works as a technician in a steel company at Duburi in Jajpur district.

Nayak was detained on Friday during checking of vehicles on the National Highway. As he failed to provide valid documents, police began further investigation and seized nine bikes from his house.

The accused used to dispose of the bikes at a price ranging between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 on revenue stamp on plain paper assuring the buyer to give the original documents within a month, police said.
