The Barbil police have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in betting during IPL Final match in Odisha's Keonjhar district last night.

As many as 7 mobile phones and Rs 2.4 lakh were seized from their possession.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and arrested the trio from a hardware shop near a temple.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Rafique, Nimai Swain and Mahaveer Prasad Maheshwari.

However, two others managed to escape and efforts are on to nab them, police said.
