Irate mob torches truck after it mows down two youths in Odisha capital

Angry locals near Bankuala under Saheed Nagar police limits in the Odisha capital today torched a mini truck after it mowed down two youths riding on a bike.

While Karunakara Guru died on the spot, Badal Guru was taken to the Capital hospital here and later shifted to SCB Medical and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment after his condition deteriorated.

Both the youth hail from Gandilo of Balianta on the city outskirts.

After the accident, an angry mob set the truck on fire. On getting the infromation, police rushed to the spot and took the injured to the hospital.

Meanwhile the local police is searching for the truck driver who fled from the spot soon after the incident occurred.
