Steeped in tradition, Jack Daniel’s doesn’t debut new liquors often, but the famous distillery has rolled out the Tennessee Honey in India.

Crafted with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and mingled with a proprietary honey liqueur of the distiller’s own making, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is a unique offering, which has sold one million cases since its launch, read a statement.

It was initially launched in the US before slowly rolling out globally.

“It’s the right time to launch the Tennesee Honey in India. There are a number of factors working together. You have got a big growth and increasing interest in American whiskey. You have growing interest in cocktails. Also the overall phenomenon of people having more disposable income of being able of going to bars. And we see that with a number of cocktail bars opening,” Tim Young, marketing director, global travel retail, India, middle east and Africa, Brown-Forman Worldwide LLC told IANS about the launch of Tennessee Honey here on Friday.

“We see it as a great opportunity. The Old No. 7 is growing in the market. More and more consumers are enjoying it. Honey opens up the the possibility to reach more consumers,” he added.

Vineet Agrawal, portfolio brand manager, India Area for Brown-Forman Worldwide LLC, said: “We are very excited about offering Indian consumers the opportunity to enjoy Jack Danie’’s Tennessee Honey. As well as giving our current fans more choice within our family of brands, it will also attract new consumers into the Jack Daniel’s franchise”.

With a sweet and spicy nose, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey has solid cinnamon notes accompanied by butterscotch, pear and honey with a floral undertone.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is the first flavoured variant of Jack Daniel’s.

The recommended serving of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey should be a chilled shot, on the rocks or with ginger ale.

Other variants of Jack Daniel’s already selling in India apart from the flagship Old Number 7 include Gentleman Jack, Silver Select Single Barrel and Sinatra Select. (IANS)
