Those who are unable to observe complete fasting, can keep partial fast by consuming milk and fruits.

Applying oil on body is not advised on this day.

Lord Vishnu is worshipped with complete dedication on Jaya Ekadashi. A small idol of Lord Vishnu is kept at the place of worship while devotees offer sandalwood paste, sesame seeds, fruits, lamp and dhoop to the Lord.

Reciting ‘Vishnu Sahastranaam’ and ‘Narayan Stotra’ is considered auspicious on this day.
