JCB runs over two labourers in Odisha, one dead

Dhenkanal: A labourer died and another was critical after a JCB ran over them on Dhenkanal-Kamakhyanagar road here in the district.

The deceased was identified as Mani and injured person as Samsuddin. Both are from neighbouring West Bengal.

The injured Samsuddin was admitted to Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital in critical condition for treatment.

According to reports, both Mani and Samsuddin were engaged in an over bridge construction work as the labourers by CRMS at Gengutia level crossing.

The JCB ran over the duo while they were going to a nearby shop for breakfast at around 10.00 am.

While Mani died on the spot, Samsuddin sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The locals rushed the injured person to the DHH in Dhenkanal for treatment.
