JEE Advanced entrance test underway in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 22:

More than 3,300 students from Odisha today appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced test conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The entrance is being conducted across seven centres in Bhubaneswar and two in Rourkela.

The test is being conducted in two sittings. While the first sitting began at 9 AM and ended at 12 noon, the second sitting will start at 2 PM and end at 5 PM.

Security arrangements have been tightened at the examination centres to avoid outside interference and prevent malpractice. Earlier, CBSE had notified the students to report at the examination centres at 7:30 AM.

Out of the 1.5 lakh students that are appearing in the entrance nationwide, 3,317 students are from Odisha.

Admission into IIITs, ISM Dhanbad and other Central Government funded technical institutes will be based on the results of this test. CBSE has set the cut off mark for the examination at 100.
