JEE Main 2017 test today, 45,000 students appear exam in Odisha

As many as 45,000 students will appear the JEE Main 2017 test, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in Odisha today.

The entrance will be held in two sittings. The paper-I starts at 9.30 am-12.30 pm and the second sitting will start at 2 pm to 5 pm for paper-II.

The exam is being conducted at 82 centres in Odisha including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Sambalpur, Rourkela and Berhampur amid tight security.

The students are asked not to bring papers, calculators, watches and mobile phones to the exam hall.

The candidates after qualifying the test will be eligible for admission into engineering courses at the top institutes like IIT, NIT, IIIT and government and private-run engineering colleges.

Over 14 lakh students are appearing the test across the country.
