Jio announces 20% hike in tariff for its prepaid plans; check prices

Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited today announced its decision to increase prices for its different prepaid plans. The new rates will come into effect from December 1, 2021.

Jio revised the price of JioPhone Plan to Rs 91 from Rs 75. With this plan, subscribers can get 3 GB/month data, unlimited voice calls facility along with a validity of 28 days.

Subscribers opting for unlimited plans of Jio will have to pay more as well. For 28 validity, 2GB/month data and unlimited voice calls, a subscriber will pay Rs 155 from December 1. Earlier the price of the plan was Rs 129.

Jio subscribers, who opt for 365 days validity, 2 GB/day data and unlimited voice calls, will have shell out Rs 2879. The price was earlier fixed at Rs 2,399.

The price hike of different unlimited plans for Jio subscribers is 20%.

In data add-ons plan, a Jio subscriber has to pay around Rs 301 for 50 GB data with 30 days validity. Earlier, the subscriber was paying Rs 251.

Earlier, Vodafone Idea and Airtel announced hike in tariffs for its prepaid users by around 20 per cent.
