JSPL commissions second phase of TPP

Bhubaneswar, Apr 2:

Steel and power major Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) has successfully commissioned its second phase expansion of Tamana power project (TPP) at Raygarh district in Chhattisgarh, which is set to add to its capacity further by 600 MW, company officials said.

The first phase of the project of similar capacity has already been completed last month.

“JSPL has been able to commission the second phase expansion within a period of 28 months,” an official said.

It is to be noted that, the Tamana power project is a first of its kind mega Integrated Power Project (IPP) , which is set to achieve a production capacity of 10,000 MW by 2020.
