Jumbo dies in train accident in Odisha

Sundargarh: A female elephant died in a train accident near Daghara railway station in Odisha’s Sundargarh district late last night.

The age of the pachyderm is estimated to be 6 years.

On being informed, Forest and Railways officials reached the spot and started investigation.

It is suspected that the jumbo was hit by a train while crossing railway track.
