‘Kabir Singh’ fame Kiara Advani says few scenes in the movie made her uncomfortable

Mumbai: Actress Kiara Advani, adored and criticized in equal parameter for her role as ‘Preeti’ in the movie ‘Kabir Singh’, has finally opened up about her experience working in the movie.

Although Kiara was immensely appreciated for her performance and grace in the movie, many criticized her for agreeing to play a role that was so submissive and tolerant to misogyny.

In a recent interview, Kiara said that she was uncomfortable herself playing ‘Preeti’ but she did it anyway. As an individual, she may not agree with certain scenes.  In fact, those scenes made many others uncomfortable too as ‘Kabir Singh’ was a flawed character.  She further said that she will never look at a character like Kabir Singh as a hero.

The actress also said she was happy that the movie was debated on but she doesn’t wish to carry it further. ‘Kabir Singh,’ the Hindi remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ made Rs 270 crore business at box office and ranked as the second blockbuster of the year after movie ‘War’. It also turned out to be the most debated movie of 2019.

Kiara Advani is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Good Newwz’ along with her co-stars from the movie Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
