All Odisha Lawyers’ Association today gave a call for an all Odisha agitation on August 10 against police excesses on lawyers and the public in Kendrapara.

A member of the Lawyers Association has been taken into custody by the police during the trouble that erupted at Tinimuhani square in Kendrapara town today. A lawyer was also asked to do sit ups by the police.

Reports said the lawyers’ association in Kendrapara has taken four policemen including two ASIs and two constables as hostage while asking police authorities to release the lawyer taken into custody by the police in return for the release of the three policemen.
