Khurda, Cuttack among other districts to experience thunderstorm today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha may experience thunderstorm by the morning of tomorrow, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

Thunderstorm with lightning, squall and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Puri, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Boudh, it added.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 5 days. It is likely to be 42 degree Celsius or more at one or two places during the next 2 days and at a few places during the subsequent 3 days over some districts of interior Odisha (Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Nuapada).
