KIIT observes Good Governance Day in Odisha capital

The KIIT University in the Odisha capital observed Good Governance Day today.

kiitTop functionaries of the University spoke on the topic ‘Use of Technology and Innovation in Promotion of Good Governance’ at a meeting attended by 3000 staff members and 300 students of the University.

It may be mentioned that the Centre has recently announced the observation of December 25, the birthday of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, as Good Governance Day in the country.

In his address, Dr Achyut Samanta, founder, KIIT and KISS said KIIT University has initiated a series of steps to make its functioning transparent and accountable.

Among others RN Dash, secretary, KIIT and KISS, Prof PP Mathur, vice chancellor, Dr Sasmita Samanta, Registrar and PK Sahoo, director, Estate & Establishment also spoke.

The speakers highlighted the contribution of  Vajpayee in the nation building and appreciated the decision of the Central government to honour him with the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award.
