Koraput administration asked to supervise development works at Kotia regularly

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government asked the Korpaut district administration to ensure overall development of Kotia group of villages.

During a virtual review meeting today, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Satyabrata Sahu directed the Koraput district administration to supervise development works at Kotia group of villages in every 15 days. Also, Sahu asked the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Odisha to study the feasibility for setting up a uniform payment system at the Registration Office.

He further asked officials to provide land to eligible beneficiaries under ‘Basundhara’ scheme as early as possible so that the State government could provide houses to them under its housing scheme.

Sahu asked the Additional Collectors of 10 districts coming under the purview of the Southern Revenue Divisional Commission (RDC), who were present at the review meeting, to resolve land disputes of school and colleges and provide the record of rights for land by March 5.

He directed to expedite land acquisition and land handover process in the districts for developmental works such as highway expansion projects, rail works and irrigation projects.

Sahu asked the Southern RDC and the Additional Collectors to review the local issues and provide transparent and efficient governance as per the ‘5T’ initiative and ‘Mo Sarkar’ guidelines.
