This was announced by the president of the Undivided Koraput Scheduled District Advocates Joint Action Coordination Committee Biresh Mohan Patnaik after a meeting of the steering committee at Jeypore on Wednesday.

“The Committee has taken the decision following an assurance from the state government to look into the demand. However, we have decided to observe a token strike on the last two working days of every month until our demand is met.” Patnaik told reporters here.

The lawyers of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Rayagada Bars had boycotted court since August 23. During the agitation, they had placed their arguments before the CR Pal Commission of Inquiry in Bhubaneswar on September 20 followed by a meeting with chief minister Naveen Patnaik on September 24.
