Earlier in the day, the embassy official reached Bhubaneswar and held discussions with officials of Commissionerate Police and Chandrasekharpur Police for over three hours.

She also visited Ruchika Helpline, where the girl had been stationed since March 23 and held discussions with their officials along with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) members before the girl was handed over to her.

“Commissionerate Police had contacted the Kyrgyzstan embassy in New Delhi after the girl was rescued. One of their officials arrived this morning. We have handed over the girl to her. We will facilitate escort service until they leave Bhubaneswar,” said a senior official of Commissionerate Police confirming the development.

Even though her tourist visa is valid till April 23, she is likely to be deported tomorrow, said a source in the police while adding that the deportation date is yet to be confirmed.

The embassy official, on the other hand, refused to make any comments on the issue.

Meanwhile, the girl — who had confessed to be part of the sex racket as per the police– left the correctional home with an emotional ‘thank you’ note.

“Dear staff Helpline and Childline, first of all I want to apologize for my disastrous behaviour. When I recall the first days, I feel ashamed. Sorry..I gave you a lot of problems and stress. But no matter what, you continue help me. May be if I left this place early, I wouldn’t understand..not see your great hearts. Unfortunately, I can’t say all words in my heart. But trust, you filled with light me. Thank you so much for your patience, love, care. I will remember this time, this place always. Thank you,” wrote the Kyrgyz girl in broken English.
