Labourer from Chhattisgarh found dead in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Rourkela: The body of a youth was recovered from a shop at Machha Haat in Sundargarh district this morning.

The deceased identified as Subash Trivedi is a resident of Raipur in Chhattisgarh and had come to Sundargarh to work as a labourer.

Locals said Trivedi was drunk last night and had fallen into a newly-constructed drain at Maccha Haat. Later, some locals rescued him and took him to shop and gave him a blanket. He slept there overnight. This morning, he was found dead inside the shop.

Though the exact cause behind his death is yet to be ascertained, police reached the spot and sent the body to Sundargarh district Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for post-mortem.
