Landmine blast in Odisha’s Malkangiri; no casualties

Malkangiri, Jan 27:

Suspected Maoists blasted a landmine near Gamphakonda under Kalimela police limits in Odisha’s Malkangiri district today, informed Mitrabhanu Mahapatra, SP, Malkangiri.

The red rebels had targeted BSF personnel who are involved in combing and search operations in the area, the SP said adding there are no reports of any casualties on the BSF side.

The blast occurred when BSF men were returning to their camp after operations in the area, Mohapatra said.
