Police resorted to mild lathicharge today to disperse students of the Regional College of Management Autonomous (RCMA) here after they gheraoed the Odisha Raj Bhawan demanding original registration cards and degree certificates, denied to them by the college authorities despite their two-month old protest.
Earlier on April 9 students of Master in Business Administration (MBA) along with MCA students of RCMA had met the Odisha Governor Dr S C Jamir and sought his intervention in support of their demand for issue of original registration cards to the current batch and degree certificates of the passed out students.
A three member delegation of MBA students led by Raza Qadir had also submitted a memorandum to the Governor seeking redressal of their grievances within a week.
