Lightning strikes claim 34 lives in two days in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 34 precious lives were lost and several injured in lightning strikes across Odisha in the last two days.

Reports said while 18 lives were lost due to lightning strikes on Sunday, 16 were lost today.

Deaths due to lightning strikes were reported from Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Angul and other districts.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik this evening expressed his grief over the loss of lives in lightning strikes across the state.
