Liquor shop manager shot at in Odisha’s Balangir, looted of Rs 3 lakh

Balangir: Unidentified miscreants allegedly opened fire at the manager of a liquor shop near Gandatarapalli under Saintala police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district today and looted Rs 3.06 lakh from him.

According to reports, the looters intercepted Narendra Gupta, the liquor shop manager, and his friend Gautam Brahma when Gupta was heading towards a destination carrying the cash.

When the victim opposed the act, the robbers fired at his left leg and snatched away the amount from his possession. He sustained bullet injuries and was admitted to the Saintala hospital in a critical condition.

Police have started investigation into the incident and efforts were on to trace and nab the wrongdoers.
