Locals thrash teacher for misbehaving girl student in Odisha

Balasore: An upper primary school teacher was today thrashed by locals in Chandbali area of Odisha’s Balasore district for allegedly misbehaving a girl student.

According to reports, Bhakta Bandhu Satpathy, an assistant teacher at Panchamukha upper primary school, had allegedly misbehaved a girl student of class-VI of the school.

Being furious over the incident, parents of other students and villagers tied the teacher to a tree and beat him.

On being informed, police reached the spot, rescued him and detained him at police station for interrogation.
