Low pressure over bay: Heavy rain likely to lash these Odisha dists

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coast. The system is likely to trigger heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha till August 16.

Here’s day-wise weather forecast for Odisha in connection with the low pressure:

 August 13: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Koraput and Malkangiri.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, and Deogarh.

August 14: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Puri, Jagatsingpur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Anugul, and Bolangir.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Koraput, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Bargarh.

August 15: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Deogarh, Bolangir, Sonepur and Angul.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, and Boudh.

August 16: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, and Sundargarh.
