A decision in this regard was taken today at a meeting between the Khordha Collector and members of the Lingaraj Temple Trust Board.

It was decided that the Mahadeepa will be placed atop the temple at 10 pm on the day of Maha Shivaratri.

However, the decision regarding entry of devotees to the temple on Maha Shivaratri was yet to be taken while a discussion in this regard will be held later.

Maha Shivaratri was also celebrated at the shrine with adherence to COVID protocol, last year.
