Malpractice during Odisha ASO exam: Candidate detained for using smartwatch

Boudh: A candidate appearing in the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) recruitment examination today was detained by police for allegedly committing malpractice during the test by using a smartwatch.

The detainee, hailing from Nayagarh district, was appearing in the exam at the Boudh Panchayat College. He reportedly texted the questions to someone through a smartwatch which he was wearing.

The accused also received answers via the device. However, the act was detected by the concerned invigilators.

On being informed, police reached the examination centre and detained the candidate for questioning.
