Man beaten to death in Odisha village for stealing goat !

Villagers of Khuntapala village under Morada police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today allegedly thrashed to death a person accused of stealing a goat from a villager, reports said.

Five persons had allegedly entered the house of a villager in Khuntapala village and had forcibly taken away a goat and other belongings of the villager.

As villagers chased the five to catch them, four managed to escape while one was caught by the villagers and severely beaten up.

The person who was severely beaten up and later succumbed to his injuries has been identified as Harihar Naik. He belonged to the Lodha community, reports said.

Police has seized the body of the person killed in the attack and has launched its investigations into the matter.
