Man found hanging in police barrack in Odisha capital

Body of a man was found hanging in the Reserve Police campus in the Odisha capital in the wee hours today.

The inmates of the reserve police found the body hanging from a room in the barrack this morning following which they informed the senior officials about the incident. He was rushed to Capital Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Binod Senapati. He was working as a cook at the Reserve Police campus near Kalinga Stadium under Jaidev Vihar area.
The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained. The body was sent for post-mortem to Capital Hospital.
Meanwhile, Sahid Nagar police registered an unnatural death case and are investigating into the incident.
