Man hacks younger brother to death in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: A property dispute turned fatal as a person allegedly hacked his younger brother to death at Jiral village in Odisha’s Boudh district last night.

According to reports, a heated exchange of words erupted between Anand Swain and his younger brother Bibhishan over property dispute. It later took an ugly turn as Anand lost his cool and hacked Bibhishan with an axe injuring the latter grievously.

The victim’s daughter Laxmi also sustained critical injuries while trying to save his father as she was attacked by Anand too. The accused went absconding after committing the crime.

Bibhishan and the girl were admitted to the Boudh district headquarters hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have started investigation into the incident after registering a case.
