Man hurls bombs at cops to evade arrest in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A man accused of several criminal offences allegedly hurled crude bombs at police in a bid to stop the entry of cops into his house and evade his arrest at Shyamraipur village in Remuna area of Odisha’s Balasore district today.

According to reports, a police team arrived at the village early this morning to apprehend Ishwar Mahalik over his alleged involvement in several crimes, including a recent loot.

However, he hurled liquor bottles, stones and crude bombs at the police to prevent their entry into the house. No one was injured in the incident.

After a four-hour-long effort, the police team managed to arrest the accused.
